Kathy and Jordan’s Wedding and Reception at the nostalgic Ashley Inn in Lancaster, KY was a weekend that I won’t soon forget. This was my first official destination wedding and I had been looking forward to it for months!! Seriously. I was over the moon when these two friends booked me for their wedding! That weekend will forever hold a special place in my heart.
The day started in the Savannah guest room at the Ashley Inn where hair and make-up was done, the guys hung out downstairs in the study, and the girls had a morning filled with laughter and love. Kathy was surrounded with so much love from her girls and her mother and in-law’s to be. Yes, the day was certainly filled with much joy and you could hear laughter through out the mansion. I was able to capture so much of the precious day leading up to the ceremony including the girls in their monogrammed robes gifted to them by the beautiful bride, the groom’s dad celebrating the marriage of his last child, a pillow fight…yes, I said pillow fight…between the groom and one of his groomsmen, as well as the moments after the groom seeing his bride at the first look. Oh my, the First Look was absolutely perfect and Jordan’s face was priceless when he saw Kathy in the gown that appeared to be designed just for her! It was a precious moment and I had to hold back the tears so I could see through the lens. Totally the most adorable bride and groom!!
Then it was off to the ceremony location. The beautiful ceremony took place at Kathy’s home church at Lancaster Baptist. After the ceremony, we took family and wedding party photos and then it was time to head back to the Ashley Inn to celebrate at the reception!! The reception was gorgeous and the fun continued with dinner, dancing, lots of celebrating and a sweet farewell exit.
There is no doubt in my mind these two newlyweds will have life filled with love and support and I am so honored to have been able to capture this most special event for them and their families.
