I was so excited when Tracy made the decision to book me for her wedding at Liberty Presbyterian Church and reception following at The Golf Club at Little Turtle in Columbus, Ohio. I love getting to know my couples and learn about their love story prior to our engagement sessions and this is a love story that starts with Doug asking the question “Would you like to play golf sometime?”.  You see, The Spencer Golf Academy, where Doug has a reputation of being one of the best golf coaches in the state, hosted an Education Session for Tracy’s women’s golf association in April of 2016. Following the lesson, Doug emailed her with the subject “Golf” and one simple question: “Would you like to go play sometime?” After figuring out schedules, the plan was to meet on Sunday, May 15 at Coldstream Country Club. It was a fun round of golf and on the final putt on the 18th hole a bet was made. With putts equal distance from the hole, whoever made his or her putt would earn dinner. Tracy’s put just rimmed out and then Doug sank his putt. Doug won dinner and another date and the rest is history!

Knowing my couples love story makes me feel like I already know them before they get in front of the camera. I find it helps me to be in tune with them as we prepare for their session and when we start shooting. I photographed this beautiful couple at one of their favorite parks in the Cincinnati area where they live.  I had never been to Ault Park so I arrived early to scout the location and lets just say I was beyond inspired and knew I would not run out of gorgeous spots. Corey and I waited on a bench and took in the view as we waited for this couple to arrive. I knew Tracy had a classy style so I was not concerned at all about her wardrobe selection during planning…and she did not disappoint! Her timeless blue dress was romantic and perfect for the session! After Ault Park, we headed to Graeter’s in Hyde Park Square to grab some ice cream where, of course, I had to steal a couple of shots of this happy and sweet couple. Corey and I had such a good time with this pair and we can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with them!  Enjoy a few of my FAVORITES from our time together!
