I was so excited to work with Bethany and Tim for their Wegerzyn Gardens engagement session! This Ohio couple only met four years ago, even though Tim had lived with Bethany’s best friend for years. It took time for their paths to cross, but now they have a beautiful three-year-old girl together.

Tim proposed during a scheduled family photography session. He planned it with the photographer ahead of time, which made for an amazing surprise for Bethany.

Tim is active-duty military, so this couple has been through a lot. Tim was deployed for a year five months after their daughter was born. Their wedding is two weeks after Tim’s retirement from the military, and Bethany is looking forward to not worrying about deployment anymore!

Wegerzyn Gardens Engagement Session

Bethany and Tim decided to go to Wegerzyn Gardens for their engagement session. Wegerzyn Gardens is in Dayton, Ohio, and it’s beautiful! This spot is one of my favorite places to shoot as a Dayton wedding photographer since there are many spots that are great for photos. We spent some time in the formal gardens. There are several little paths and sections of flowers that made for a great background!

This engagement session was actually their second session, and it worked out beautifully. Wegerzyn Gardens is full of seasonal flowers and perennials, so their Spring photography session felt so sweet because they were simply surrounded by Spring. My favorite shots are the ones of the couple underneath the charming arches that the formal gardens offer!

You can really tell from the photos how in love this couple is, and they’re clearly so comfortable with each other. Some of the captured moments are simply stunning, and it’s all because of how Bethany and Tim interact with each other. This Dayton engagement session was definitely a lot of fun.

Bethany and Tim are going to get married at Creekview Barn in Leesburg, Ohio, on September 26, 2020. Their wedding is going to be a rustic theme, full of sunflowers and perfect for the fall season. I can’t wait to experience their wedding with them!
