Although I specialize in wedding photography, I enjoy taking on a handful of Senior Sessions each year to capture beautiful portraits during this milestone of their life. I absolutely love coming along side them and have so much fun capturing their personalities in each shot we take. With everything going on this year, I wanted to take the time to honor these seniors. It’s been tough on them, but they have shown resilience while ending their senior year in a way they never imagined. I am proud of each of them and they deserve recognition for all their hard work and completing their senior year in such a way that has tested and refined them! Here is each Transparency Senior and a couple details they shared with me.
Kenzie Seyfang: Miami Trace High School
Kenzie plans on studying engineering at Miami University. She was on the school’s tennis team and was chosen as the lead role of the school’s spring musical, Footloose. Kenzie enjoys hanging out with her friends, watching Netflix and scary movies, and going on trips to Chillicothe or Grove City.
Kara Vohra: Washington Court House City Schools
Kara is a WCHCS valedictorian and graduate. She’ll attend the University of Pittsburg and do a double major in finance and marketing with a minor in international business. After undergrad, she’s hoping to do corporate law. While in high school, she played volleyball and swam. Kara was also in a variety of clubs such as Hi-Y, DECA, student council, Youth in Government, and Academy of Scholars. She is heavily involved with her temple and absolutely loves to spend time with her family, so she takes any chance she can get to visit her sister in NYC.
Simon and Henry DeBruin: Miami Trace High School
These boys do so much together. Simon and Henry both ran cross country and track and played on the Varsity soccer team. They were in all the high school musicals (although the last one didn’t make it to the stage), and they were members of Soundsations. Not to mention, they were both four-year art students and members of the Spanish Club, Key Club, Art Club, and Student Government. Simon will be attending Miami University, and Henry will be attending Valparaiso University, both as engineering students. As for hobbies, they both play a lot of video games!
Dallas Redman: Washington Court House City Schools
Anna Williams: Miami Trace High School
Anna will be attending Miami University after high school. During high school, she was involved in jazz band, volleyball, student government, and National Honors Society. She enjoys playing the piano, playing video games, and spending time with close friends. She and her friends would often go out to eat or go to King’s Island or Cedar Point during the summers.
Lilly Litteral: Miami Trace High School
Lilly plans to attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University where she will run track, though she’s currently undecided about her major. She ran cross country for three years, was a four-year letterman in swim, and was a three-year district qualifier up at OSU. As a four-year letterman in track, she was a district champion, regional runner up, and state qualifier with her 4×100 team her junior year. She enjoys exercising, spooning, and spending time with friends and family.
Garitt Leisure: Washington Court House City Schools
Garitt is a senior at Washington High School. In High School, Garitt participated in football, basketball, baseball, and track. This fall, he will be continuing his football career playing for the Ohio Dominican Panthers and will be studying Exercise Science. Garitt is social and loved by his peers. In his free time, he loves going to the gym, hanging with his buddies, and fishing.
He was recently diagnosed with Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare disorder in which too many infection-fighting cells are produced and activated, causing organ inflammation and damage. By purchasing a t-shirt, you are showing support for HLH Awareness as well as Garitt and his family, who are loved by many! All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly back to Garitt and his family. There is also a button to give a monetary donation if you wish! Place your order here.
Addison Campbell: Miami Trace High School
After high school, Addison will be attending college for nutrition. She is a valedictorian of her class and participated in a variety of activities such as varsity soccer. She was a member of Key Club, sang in Soundsations and symphonic choir, and participated in the spring musicals. Addison enjoys reading, working out, and going out with her friends. Isn’t the outfit she chose for her senior session the cutest?!
Gracie Greene: Miami Trace High School
Gracie is a senior who participates in dual enrollment with Southern State Community College. She plans on attending Wilmington College and majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor or double major in Business.
Bayley Thompson and Shania Peters: Miami Trace High School
Bayley and Shania are bests friends who did mini senior sessions together. Both plan on going to Wilmington College in the fall with Bayley planning on majoring in equine business management and Shania in Education. Shania previously attended Laurel Oaks for two years for their Early Childhood Education Program. In high school, they played tennis and participated in the Color Guard. Bayley enjoys training and working with horses as well as cattle. Shania works at a daycare as a teacher’s assistant for preschoolers.
As a Columbus, Ohio photographer, I love getting to work with local high schoolers on their senior sessions. I get to meet a lot of wonderful students! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
