HOW THEY MET

It all started in Cincinnati where two recent high school graduates were heading off to college. It was welcome weekend at The University of Cincinnati, a weekend to meet new friends, roommates and begin navigating this new chapter of life. Both Matthew and Taylor were assigned to Daniel’s Hall dorm. Being residents of the same dorm meant they were bound to cross paths eventually!

As Cincinnati worked its magic, so it happens they did! Many days were spent bonding over music, hammocking on the campus green, and learning about each other’s interests. A few weeks later, Matthew had finally worked up the courage to ask Taylor out. Despite having exams the next day, Matthew took Taylor to a great dinner in OTR and a magical night at Riverbend Music Center to see Ed Sheeran, followed by a night exploring their new, foreign city!

From there, the stars appeared to have aligned for Matthew and Taylor. As from that point on, they would continue to bond and conquer the college years together!

HOW HE PROPOSED

Fast forward nearly six years, and Matthew and Taylor had found their way back to their favorite place to vacation and take in the wonders of nature, The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Little did Taylor know, Matthew had planned to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together on that trip. And so, with the help of Mother Nature, the weather remained perfect and Taylor said yes with all the mountains to behold her decision!

CLIFFSIDE ACRES

Cliffside Acres is a modern-farmhouse wedding venue, located in central Ohio and just 45-minutes west of Columbus.

Everyone falls in love with its unique, outdoor, 360-degree ceremony space beneath its maple trees. As well as their beautiful, all-season indoor venue that feels both classic and fresh with its white walls and black accents.
