I am so excited to share Grace and Braedon’s wedding at Flora and Field  This venue always knocks it out of the park on serving their couples well! And the details? GORGEOUS!! Keep reading to get to know this couple and to learn more about their venue.
HOW THEY MET
Braedon and Grace followed each other on Instagram, seeing as they were both on athletic scholarship to Olivet Nazarene University. Braedon liked a few of Grace’s pictures on her profile to pique her interest, and of course she had to like some of his, too. He direct messaged her on New Years Eve 2017, saying he was excited to meet her and to congratulate her on signing to play basketball. They started talking every single day, eventually FaceTiming. They hit it off immediately. On February 17th, 2018, Braedon drove to Ohio to watch Grace play basketball and spend the weekend with her. The rest is history!
HOW HE PROPOSED
Braedon took Grace to Cataract Falls in Indiana for a “semi-professional photoshoot date.” They dressed up and decided to take nice, scenic pictures of each other at the park which features beautiful trails and waterfalls. About an hour of taking pictures goes by, and they make it to the big waterfall. Braedon sets up his GoPro on a tripod to take some timed pictures of the two of them together. Braedon switched the GoPro into video mode without Grace knowing after pictures. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Because it was a hot Saturday afternoon, many people were around who applauded and congratulated the newly engaged couple. It was a moment they’ll never forget!
FLORA AND FIELD
Flora And Field is a barn wedding venue located in Mount Sterling, Ohio. This establishment provides exceptional services in addition to access to their elegant and atmospheric property. Here, couples will experience more than just a place to hold an event. They will have the opportunity to harvest their own flowers, making their special occasion even more unique.
Facilities and Capacity
This destination has a pavilion that is ideal for gorgeous wedding ceremonies. It is constructed from attractive pine rafters and has beautiful lofted ceilings. The interior of the pavilion is light and airy, offering shelter while letting in natural elements. A romantic atmosphere is created by fluttering curtains and hanging bistro lights. There are also suspended planters that bring greenery to any occasion. Attendees of an event held here will also be able to appreciate views of the 30 acres of flowers that are farmed on the grounds. The barn is illuminated by modern chandeliers that can hang above tables suited to 250 guests. The environment is a neutral palette, meaning that couples will have the opportunity to make their personalities shine through with thoughtfully chosen decor. These products are provided by in-house designers, ensuring that each theme is coherent and cohesive. Both the built and naturally occurring environments invite couples to snap photos that capture magical moments. Between interior and exterior backdrops, there are plenty of opportunities to create timeless photos that last a lifetime.
Services Offered
This venue provides clients the opportunity to take a long weekend at the facility. This means that couples will be able to stay overnight in the on-site lodging. In addition to sleeping quarters, they also offer coordination, design, farmed flowers, rentals, and more. The betrothed will have the chance to choose between three packages that range from one to three days total. There are activities that beckon visitors to take part throughout the property, and select guests in numbers up to 16 may stay overnight. Additional guests can take advantage of the state lodge that is within a close distance.
