This gorgeous bride and I, along with a few of her bridesmaids, have known each other for quite some time. Therefore, it goes without saying that photographing this wedding was an honor, particularly with the reminiscing and laughter that ensued. Hoyt and I first met as the wedding was being planned. It was no time at all before I knew that God had blessed my friend with an amazing man to be her future husband. While meeting and planning their wedding, we had deep conversations about life and our relationships with the Lord. It was not long before Corey and I felt a special bond with Hoyt as well.

During this time of planning, Hoyt explained how important it was to have his mother remembered on their wedding day, as she had passed away in 2005. His mother, Cathy, was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer in the winter of 2000. She fought with faith-filled bravery until April 20th, 2005, when she went home to be with the Lord. Hoyt was 22 years old. He went on to discuss her unwavering faith in God, and how she was an encouragement to others. He reminisced about their Pastor going to the hospital to console her, and how he would leave in tears because she was the one encouraging him. It was important to Hoyt that a prayer, framed, and written by his mother, be placed in the wedding. Cathy’s prayer was placed at the altar and was present during Jill and Hoyt’s ceremony. Yes, Cathy’s testimony still touches lives today.

This wedding day was nothing short of special and spectacular! Jill was a STUNNING bride walking down the aisle holding onto her beloved father’s arm. There was much laughter and celebration at the reception with the added blessing of witnessing a husband and wife (Jill’s Aunt Ann and Uncle Bud Hutchens), finish the anniversary dance with over 65 years of marriage! Yes, the entire day was perfect, right down to the send-off, with Jill and Hoyt driving away in a cherry red Corvette. The Lakes Golf and Country Club was a DREAM to shoot at and every detail was beautiful!

Hoyt and Jill, we love you both!! It was such an honor to walk alongside you as you planned for this precious day. We are so happy for you both and look forward to watching God continue to move through your lives and your marriage.
