Where do I begin with this sweet bride and groom?! Their love story brought joyful tears to many eyes on their wedding day. You see, Kelsey and Adam were best friends when they were teenagers, and in time, they fell in love with each other. That friendship turned into them being high school sweethearts. Their love for each other withstood the test of time while walking along side each other into adulthood. Adam became a police officer and Kelsey continued her education at the University of Cincinnati to focus on Legal Studies. This couple’s love story is very sweet and precious as you will be able to tell from their pictures.

The wedding day was filled with moments that were a blessing for Corey and I to capture. The venue was an absolute dream to shoot at and the entire vendor team was amazing to work with. But the most wonderful experience of the entire day was witnessing the endearing affection this bride & groom had for one another. I will have to admit, I was wiping away tears a few times and actually came close to an outright sob during their prayer time. Adam was such a doting groom and he could not hold back his emotion when he held his bride’s hand to pray…nor when he saw Kelsey walking down the aisle to say “I do”.

Even the rain that came right before the ceremony could not keep the day from being absolutely perfect. When rain is oncoming before an outdoor ceremony, as sometimes it does, the bride and groom are faced with a decision on what to do. Postpone, move the location to plan B, or have the ceremony in the rain. It was not a downpour so they decided to continue with plan A and have the ceremony outside. The bridesmaids, family, and venue coordinator’s goal was to keep Kelsey calm and at peace. That’s when I was able to experience another huge blessing that again brought me to tears. One of the bridesmaids, Sara who has been a huge supporter of my photography business, asked if I would pray. As if photographing this wedding wasn’t already an honor, I was now privileged to hold hands with the bride and her bridesmaids to pray on behalf of the covenant that was getting ready to ensue between a groom and his bride. God answered our prayers and the rain did not thwart the joy and blessing of the ceremony. Matter of fact, it turned out to be extremely captivating, so much so that you forgot the rain was falling around you.

The rain stopped after the ceremony and I was able to capture many beautiful moments of this new husband and wife. We were all thankful to have the rain subside for portraits and I am excited to share a few of my favorites with you.

Kelsey and Adam, thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding day! Yes, Corey would have to admit that there were tears of emotion in his eyes while witnessing your day as well. We are so grateful for the honor and the memory of this day. We will always cherish it and remember it well.
